Along Our Way
Mixed media – linocut prints on four acrylic-painted plywood panels, 2.4m × 0.5m each (total length 9.6m), 2026.

Designed to be displayed as one continuous artwork, Along Our Way celebrates the vibrant community spirit of Boorley Green, the recently expanded village within the parish of Botley, Hampshire. The photograph shows the work installed in two rows for the Mapping the Familiar exhibition at Arc Winchester.

Created in collaboration with more than one hundred local residents, the piece brings together linocut images of buildings, wildlife, flowers, fauna, pets, people and everyday activities that make the area unique. Flowing through the composition is an undulating backdrop inspired by the soft pastel colours of 1960s Ordnance Survey maps, evoking a sense of place, connection and shared journey.

A joyful community portrait, Along Our Way captures the stories, landscapes and experiences that shape life in a contemporary English village.
