There is something magical about those late walks — when the world is hushed, the air is cooler and familiar places feel slightly mysterious. The moonlight catches on paths, branches and rooftops, turning the ordinary into something luminous.
When I returned home after one of these walks, I wanted to capture that feeling immediately. I reached for a silver acrylic pen and the deepest black paint I had and worked quickly, covering the canvas with an energetic web of shimmering lines.
As the light moves across the surface, the silver begins to glow and the subtle undulating patterns in the dark background slowly emerge, echoing the shifting atmosphere of a moonlit landscape.
This small original painting has a strong presence despite its size and changes beautifully as the light in the room changes.
