Walking in Moonlight is an acrylic painting based on walking through suburban streets after dark. I worked with an achromatic palette of black, white and grey, using trees, rooftops and clouds as starting points for the composition.
Rather than relying on colour, I used contrasts in tone to organise the image and bring out the forms of the familiar landscape.
