Memory Maps: Walking Discs
This print is part of my Memory Maps: Walking Discs series, developed from repeated walks around Horton Heath and the surrounding landscape. Using the circular form of the ancient Phaistos Disc as a starting point, I create imagined maps of familiar journeys, bringing together fragments of place, walking and memory.
The image combines two coloured linocut layers with a final black wood engraving.
