Hand-printed linocut | Edition of 20 | Image 42 × 30 cm | Paper 59 × 42 cm | Snowdon 130gsm acid-free paper | Signed, titled and numbered
Night Walk is a linocut of a suburban street at night, made in 2021 during lockdown. It developed from my regular walks with Bruce, when familiar streets often revealed details I hadn't noticed before.
I used the lit windows as points of focus, varying the carved marks to describe the sky, rooftops and foliage. Small drilled marks pick out details such as wheel hubs and headlights.
Exhibited: Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition, Mall Galleries, London, 2024.
The print is wrapped in glassine and cellophane, packed in a sturdy triangular tube, and sent by tracked and insured delivery.
