Catch shows a dog leaping into the air to catch a ball. I wanted to capture the shape and movement of the dog at the moment of the catch.
I developed the image from a drawing, transferring it to lino with red carbon paper before carving the block. Each impression is printed by hand on Snowdon 140gsm acid-free paper, using a baren to transfer the ink.
Each print is signed, titled and numbered in pencil. Small variations in the ink and printed marks can occur between impressions.
The print is supplied unframed, protected with glassine, placed in a sleeve with foamboard backing, and packed in a sturdy cardboard box for tracked and insured delivery.
